Improve Your Sleep

For many of us, sleep is something we're not getting enough of... quality sleep, that is. Even if we're averaging a decent 8-hour night, a lot of the time it's interrupted or 'shallow' sleep when what we really need to thrive is a solid nights rest where our bodies can heal and regenerate in preparation for the next day. This can only happen properly with a full sleep cycle including important periods of REM sleep. Ever feel groggy and lack-lustre waking up? Yes, of course... most of us do sometimes. But if this is happening often, you probably need more and better sleep.

How To Make Your Foundation Look Better

When buying a new foundation that promises all we've ever wanted (even skintone, just enough coverage, the perfect satin finish, staying power...), we have such high expectations so it's no wonder we all own 2, 3, 4, even more foundations for different occasions, seasons, even times of the month. But the trick to getting the most out of your foundation is not to slap on and pray, but to take a few extra steps to making sure you get all that you want. Simply, a foundation alone won't give you complexion perfection, but you can step up your base game to seal the deal.

The Duty Free Picks

Whilst going on holiday is always exciting, the early morning wake up calls (hello 3am) and 3-hour-long waits at the stale-aired airports are a little less so (although, retrospectively, it's all part of the fun and romance of it). So they've strategically placed the best-loved shops right under your nose to tempt you... well done, consumerism. This time it got the better of me and I caved, coming out with a few beauts in the process.

The 'I Woke Up Like This' Essentials

On those days you're feeling lazy or want to let your skin breathe... or, let's face it, any day we don't really have to wear makeup, it's nice to just put down the slap and go bare. And I don't mean dorn the 'no makeup makeup', I mean truly go bare. Shocking, right? Well, it shouldn't be.

30 Days of Yoga TOGETHER!

So today's post is going to be a little different. It's not a review or a how-to but rather a call for all yoga bunnies (or newbies!) who keep finding themselves too busy for yoga every day. We all want to be fitter, healthier, happier with ourselves and our bodies but a lot of us can't quite find the time or motivation to really get stuck in. Yoga is one of my favourite forms of exercise because it quietens the mind and relaxes the body whilst tightening, strengthening, and stretching... well, just about everything. It's perfect for all ages, abilities, body types, and goals.

Daily Makeup Brushes

Makeup brushes seem to have had a boom. Since the launch of the realTechniques brushes, new collections have been popping up left, right, and centre. Brushes have never been more in demand. Gone are the days of the powder puff as we're now using different brushes for every product! I know I've got more brushes than is probably appropriate, especially as I like to use as few as possible to keep the makeup-application time to a minimum.

April Favourites 2015 | The Video

The one in which I tell you all of things that have tickled my pickle during the month of April (2015).

Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil Review

I have recently ditched my natural hair and bleached it within an inch of it's life, returning again and again to the salon chair to get that little bit blonder each time. It goes without saying that my hair has been feeling a little rough and dry since, so I have been using the Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil Shampoo and Conditioner* for the past couple of months in an attempt to bring back a litte moisture and shine.

TMI Tag | The Video

So this tag is an old-y but also seems to be quite a good-y. I've had a few requests for it recently and as I'm just getting back into the swing of making more YouTube content I thought it'd be a great one to kick start myself at the same time as letting you guys know a little (or a lot) about me.

What's It All About? | Primers

'Primer' seems to be the new buzz word, like 'kale' or 'gluten-free', and although more of us are using them, many of us still don't know what it's all about. Primers have crossed the skincare boarder and branched themselves out to haircare, too. But why are we all suddenly primer-mad?

5 Product Face

Some mornings I love getting creative with makeup, treating my face like a blank canvas and preparing it for the day ahead; deciding on a bold eye or lip, cool tones or warm, contoured or natural. Other days I don't want to go near the stuff and feel like my skin needs a breather. If I still need to look somewhat put together, I only use what's 'necessary' (disclaimer: no makeup is necessary and if you want to go bare, rock it. For those of us who feel a little more coverage / emphasising is in order, carry on reading).

Designing Your Dream Blog

Creating and up-keeping a blog is a great way to express yourself, not only with words and photographs but the overall look of your website. The instant feeling you get when visiting a site is going to determine within seconds whether you're or not you're in sync with the designer and you want to be sure your blog reflects and emphasises your creativity, style, and personality.

40 Days and 40 Nights

Christmas saw us stuffing our faces silly and January had us pinching the pennies and scraping together meals from what was left over. Now it's mid-February and we're feeling a little back on track and it's time to really begin thinking about how we want to continue into the year. Lent is upon us and we're given the chance to all come together and eradicate (at least) one thing from our lives that isn't serving us in the long run. Traditionally it was a 40-day fast, but now we mark the occasion with giving up a single vice like chocolate or alcohol.

Why You Should Epilate

There are many - oh, so many - ways of removing our bodily hair nowadays from shaving and waxing to tweezing and laser-ing, we seem to always be looking for the most effective way to get rid of that hair in favour of smooth,  naked skin. I like my legs both hair-free and hassle-free, so I've long since ditched the razor and wax and opted for something far less time-consuming and far more effective.

Brands Worth the Penny

There are so many products out there (and increasingly more) that it can be difficult to keep up, let alone find a place to stash them! We all have our vices (I covet skincare and lipsticks), but are we just falling for the hype of a new, shiny product that'll soon be yesterday's news? Of course, as a beauty blogger, there will always be a few of these in the mix but to help lessen the drooling and dribbling over the new season releases of, well, pretty much all things beauty, it's important to narrow down your agenda by knowing what brands work for you. Here're the ones that have my stamp of approval:

Bright Eyes

We all want to look fresh and flawless ready for the day ahead, but sometimes that extra glass of red or 'five more minutes' turning into an hour allows those dark circles and unsightly bags to creep in. Drinking water, having early nights, and eating fresh produce is, although the ticket to fresher skin, not going to be a quick fix. So, what can we do the morning after when we have minutes before having to look bright eyed and bushy tailed? I have you covered. Quite literally.

How To Clean Makeup Brushes

Cleaning my makeup brushes is not my favourite past time. I try to stick to doing it once a fortnight but it never goes to plan and I end up either forgetting or sighing a the thought of it and leaving it another day (week). So I've found the most convenient way of doing it that takes hardly any time at all and yet is the most effective method I've found.

January Favourites | The Video

January has been a great month for trying bolder makeup and I've made a few beauty discoveries that I now can't live without. Have a peek at what I've been adoring:

Oil Pulling | A Complete Detox

I tried oil pulling a while back and could not get down with it. The feeling of a lump of coconut oil in my mouth that I had to chew down into a liquid and swill for 20 minutes almost made me heave. But hearing of the benefits again made me want to give it another (proper) try.

Handbag Organisation

Yup, I admit it. I'm one of those girls who carries around the world and his wife in her handbag. I do, I really do, try to keep it down to a minimum with clear-outs and re-organisations but I always find myself loading my handbag up with "essentials". Essentials that consist of multiple shades of lipstick (who knows where the day may take me?), various forms of entertainment, and, of course, a first aid kit that would rival A&E.

The Best Eyelash Curlers

I have been consistently underwhelmed by eyelash curlers for years. Having fairly long and naturally curled lashes (thank you, genes) the only affect these contraptions had on my routine was to bend my lashes at a harsh right-angle and help smear my mascara all over my top lid. It's fair to say I was not a fan.

Sunday Market | Queens Park

Alongside getting healthier and happier in 2015 comes trying new ways of keeping active and enjoying the small things in life. I've started a more regular routine of going to yoga classes and, luckily, just around the corner from the studio on a Sunday is one of my favourite markets; Queens Park Farmers' Market.

Give 'em the Boot

I'm a sun-worshiper through and through but, when it comes to style, I'm all about the Autumnal look. I love dressing in cosy chunky knits and shoes (check out my Autumn must-haves post here), and I always look forward to slipping my feet into something a bit snugglier.

Easy Natural Bold Brows | The Video

I love doing my brows and now can't imagine doing my makeup without filling them in, too. I've paired down the process to take about a minute but my brows still look naturally full and bold. I hope you enjoy!

Nailed It

This time of year always gets me in the mood to have a well-painted nail. For me the gloomy weather means a purely monochrome wardrobe and so to bring a little colour and interest I like to accent with polishes.

Making Time to Blog

My number one goal for 2015 is to keep a regular posting schedule because I believe it to be the most important thing to keep focused, current, and on track. I decided that if I wanted to see real growth I'd have to stick to regular posting dates, otherwise I'd find myself pushing it aside for another time when

The Brow Game

Having big, beautiful, bold brows is all the rage yet again and I've been playing with different ways of getting my sisters (not twins) up to scratch. I've tried and tested powders, gels, and pencils and have finally found my perfect technique. So here you go (you're welcome):

3 Tips to Keep Fit without Hitting the Gym

Keep it Moving
Living and working in London means the hustle and bustle of the city can become a little overwhelming, particularly on a winters morning, and it can be far too easy to just ride with it and become another statue on the underground escalators.

Glow through Winter
