Free Things for Clearer Skin

There are endless products, treatments, medications, and DIYs for achieving clearer skin but if we mindlessly wade ourselves through them without considering our every day lifestyle it all becomes pointless. Some people say they have a "teeth whitening lifestyle", meaning instead of just applying

Beauty Shelf

I have a shelf from a old victorian dresser I found at university that's the perfect size to contain my beauty products. My beauty shelf is where I keep all of my products that I reach for all of the time. These are things that work, have made it into my every day routine, and I will repurchase before

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum | Review

As the weather changes so does my skin, usually becoming fairly dry and irregular for an adjustment period. This happened a few months ago as we were transitioning from winter into spring (although in the UK it still feels a lot like winter) and my skin went from normal oily to dehydrated pretty

Lipsticks | It's a Steal

If you're on the look out for the perfect nude to wear every day or rock with a smokey eye at night, the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 700 Nude Delight is the one. It's my all time favourite nude lipstick being the perfect shade for any skin tone and a great silky but lasting formula.

Sensing Spaces | Weekend Post

This past weekend I visited The Royal Academy of Arts to see the Sensing Spaces exhibition. It was a collection of seven architectural structures. In each room was an individual construction that worked within the RA's body.

Bronzers | It's a Steal

We all know about this bronzer and I'm pretty sure most of us love it, too. It looks dark in the pan, but once applied gives a great natural colour. It's not as pigmented as it looks (which is a good thing in this case) but applies smoothly and effortlessly and there's no patchiness, either

Birthday Beauty Wants

So my birthday is just around the corner and I've started making note of some of the things I'd like to unwrap on my grand 23rd year on earth. Here are some of my beauty picks:

Mascara | It's a Steal

I have tried a a fair few mascaras but I hardly ever repurchase them. They either make my lashes look thin and spidery or knotted and clumpy. So I only have one product this round, but it's a good'un! The Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara is an all around winner for me. It gives length, boosts volume,

New Series | It's a Steal

I am introducing a new series to Soph's Choices under the name It's a Steal. While I'll be bringing you affordable makeup, skincare, and style tips, nothing will lack in quality and everything will be tried, tested and genuinely liked and used by me. If I feel something is not up to scratch, it won't make it onto the blog... only bona fide products allowed here, thank you.

March Favourites

The Origins Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm has been my go-to way of cleaning off my makeup. It's thick in consistency so it really gets all of the makeup off but comes off easily with the cleansing cloth and leaves the skin feeling nourishes and moisturised without a greasy residue. If you're like me and like

Perfect Nude Duo

Finding the perfect nude lip is trickier than it sounds. So many lip products either have the wrong undertones (too yellow, orange, or red) or the wrong consistency (too sticky, drying, or patchy). I gave up the hunt for the perfect peachy pout a while ago, instead sticking to lip balms or pale pink
